Coach Kluempers led the Saints Rugby family of players, managers, coaches, trainers, and parents in celebrating the 2023 season at the annual Rugby Banquet on Wednesday, May 31. 

The Saints played a tough schedule this year against a high level of competition (10 nationally ranked teams). The team traveled many miles to play rugby in Tulsa, St. Louis, Denver, and Houston. Saints Rugby finished the season 2nd in the state of Kansas and 8th in the Boys High School Rugby National Championships in Elkhart, Indiana.

These team awards were presented at the Rugby Banquet, voted on by the players and the coaches:

• Most Valuable Forward = Carson Kraft
• Most Valuable Back = Austin Turner
• Most Improved Player = Owen Charlton
• Most Inspirational Player = Trevor Mogren
• MVP of JV = Joe Goza
• MVP of Varsity = Cooper Mogren

Congratulations to all of these young men! Many thanks to seniors Cooper Mogren and Austin Turner for their leadership, and we wish them the best as they head off to college this fall.
